Ms. Mollie
Director
I have over 25 years of experience in early education. I began teaching and caring for young children in high school, working in a daycare both after school and during the summers. I decided to study elementary education and planned to be a kindergarten teacher; however, those plans changed when I worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool aide one summer while I was student teaching in a (wonderful!) kindergarten classroom. I fell in love with the under-5-year-old crowd and never looked back! I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in classrooms of all ages, from infants through kindergarten. After many years of teaching, I transitioned to administrative positions in preschools and children’s centers in San Luis Obispo.
I’m a married mother of two young adults. My daughter recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Psychology, and my son is beginning his junior year at Northern Arizona University. I’ve been a working parent for many years, and can relate to others in the same position! In my free time, I love to work in my garden with my husband, read, cook and bake, go wine tasting, and spend as much time with my family as possible!
Miss Brynn
Lead Teacher
Hi! My name is Brynn Fernandez. I have been an Early Education teacher in San Luis Obispo since graduating from Cal Poly in 2020. I fell in love with the area in college and just couldn’t bring myself to leave! I have always loved working with children, so teaching was a natural progression for me. Since I started teaching, I have been in awe of how much I learn from the kiddos each day. They keep me young and imaginative, always coming up with new ways to play.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me cooking up something yummy, painting, doing puzzles, gardening, or going to the beach to play beach games!
Miss T
Co-Teacher
Hello! I’m thrilled to introduce myself as a member of the Legacy Children’s Center team! With a strong background in working with children, my journey began in my early teenage years as a camp counselor and through volunteer work in the community. I then worked at a yoga studio daycare, and as a nanny.
Along the way, I’ve taken Child Development and Family Studies courses, with a focus on teaching and early childhood education. I am dedicated to ongoing learning and plan to continue taking courses to further enhance my education skills.
Outside of work, I have a deep love for nature and can often be found spending time with my horses.
I am honored to be here and look forward to partnering with families to provide the best educational experience for children.
Miss Jamie
Co-Teacher
First, I am so thrilled and honored to be part of the Legacy Children’s Center team! As long as I can remember, I have loved working with children, so much that I decided to pursue an AA in Early Childcare Education from Cuesta College. After receiving my degree, I began working at the MINDBODY Children’s Center with Mollie!
I couldn’t be happier to be back in the classroom and have the opportunity to be a part of your child’s early years! I love so much about teaching, but my favorite part is seeing the joy in children as they learn and grow!
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends over a good cup of joe.
Miss Audrey
Teacher’s Aide
Hello! My name is Audrey Clingan, and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Cuesta College. I’ve known since I was young that I wanted to work with children. Growing up with seven siblings, five of them younger than me, caring for them brought me so much joy. Now, having the opportunity to work with children in the classroom has confirmed that becoming a preschool teacher is truly my dream career!
Outside the classroom, I work as a preschool gymnastics coach at Legacy Training Center. At home, I enjoy spending time with my dog, watching Disney movies or one of my many nerdy TV shows, and doing diamond art whenever I have the chance.
